Mark Twain Lake Seeks Public Input on Frank Russell Campground

Mark Twain Lake – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake will host two public meetings to gather input and feedback regarding the possibility of all campsites available at Frank Russell Campground becoming reservable for the 2018 recreation season.

The Frank Russell Campground has a total of 72 campsites, consisting of 65, 30 amp electric and seven equestrian sites that offer 50 amp electric.  Currently, sites 30 thru 60 and the seven equestrian sites are reservable.  Campsites 1 thru 29 will become part of the reservation system, available during the Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day Holiday periods.  Reservations for these campsites will be available starting March 30, 2018.  If there is no reservation for the campsite, upon your arrival, it is treated as a first come, first serve basis, for the timeframe of availability.

 

Reservations for campsites are accepted by contacting the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) toll free number 877-444-6777,TDD 877-833-6777 or online at www.recreation.gov.
