FUSRAP returns to Highway 367 and Coldwater Creek to collect previously unattainable samples
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program contractors return to steep, mucky banks along the last stretch of Coldwater Creek before it runs into the Missouri River on Highway 367. The team uses a heavy auger to collect soil samples in locations where they were previously unable due to rock, sediment and riprap. FUSRAP crews frequently navigate rough terrain, enduring challenging conditions to collect the samples necessary for a thorough investigation.
