Colonel Bryan K. Sizemore assumes duties as the 52nd Commander of the St. Louis District after serving as the G3 at the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.

Sizemore was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers through the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1996.

He has served in numerous command and staff assignments: He served as an Army fellow at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs at Texas A&M University. Sizemore commanded the 11th Engineer Battalion and served as the chief of the Commander’s Initiatives Group at the Maneuver Center of Excellence, Fort Benning, Ga. He has also served as the chief of the Iraqi Security Forces Cell in United States Division – North in Tikrit, Iraq, and Deputy Operations officer for training, G3, for the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Co. He served as the secretary of the General Staff for Fort Bliss, Texas; Squadron Executive officer for the 6th Squadron - 1st Cavalry Regiment in the 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division (1AD); Brigade S3 of the 5th Brigade, 1st AD; Brigade chief of plans for the 5th Brigade, 1st AD; Department of the Army Secretariat Board recorder at the Army Human Resources Command; Company commander of HHC 54th Engineer Battalion in Bamberg, Germany; Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commanding general, V Corps, in Heidelberg, Germany; Operations officer in the Staff Engineer section, V Corps, Heidelberg, Germany; Executive officer of Charlie Company 91st Engineer Battalion 1st Cavalry Division; Battalion adjutant for the 91st Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division; Support Platoon leader in the 555th Engineer Company (Topographic); Executive officer of the United States Army Garrison, III Corps and Fort Hood; and Production Platoon leader in the 555th Engineer Company (Topographic), III Corps and Fort Hood.

Sizemore earned his Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering at West Point, a Master of Science degree in engineering management from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a master’s degree of military arts and sciences from the Marine Corps University in Quantico, Va. His military education includes the Army War College, Joint Combined Warfighting Course, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Combined Arms and Staff Services School, and the Engineer Officer Advanced and Basic Courses.

Sizemore’s decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (with one Oak Leaf Cluster), the Meritorious Service Medal (with four Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (with four Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal, Kosovo and Bosnia NATO Medals, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.

 

Sizemore has two children, Alexis, 16, and Hayden, 7.
